Zara didn’t sleep that night. She sat at her laptop, fingers flying, digging through archives, news clippings, anything that might make sense of the name Tiana Rowe.
Then she found it. An old Miami Herald article.

Zara’s stomach flipped as she read. Tiana Rowe, a rising brand strategist, was last seen leaving a business dinner in downtown Miami. Friends said she was preparing for a major career breakthrough. She never made it home. No signs of foul play. No leads. The case remained open.
Zara stared at the photo.
A woman with striking features. The resemblance was undeniable, the same high cheekbones, the same sharp eyes, the same poise and confidence she had always sensed in Nia.
Tiana Rowe didn’t disappear. She became Nia Brooks.
Zara’s hands trembled. A fresh wave of terror crashed over her.
If Tiana had been erased, was Zara next?
