That was the moment Zara knew, no one believed her.
She had built her career on image, presence, authority. And now Nia was wearing all of it like a perfectly tailored suit.
Julian frowned, glancing between them. “Zara, what’s going on?”
Zara’s heart pounded. She could expose her right here, right now.
“She’s stealing my identity,” Zara said, her voice shaking. “She hacked my LinkedIn. She deleted my account. She’s taking my clients, my brand. She’s replacing me.”
A thick, uncomfortable silence fell over the room.
Julian sighed, rubbing his temples. “Nia,” he said gently, “maybe you should step out for a moment.”
Nia nodded, standing gracefully. She gave Zara one last lingering look before slipping past her and disappearing into the hallway.
The second she was gone, Julian exhaled.
“Zara, I think you need to take a break.”
“A break?”
“You’ve been under a lot of stress,” Julian said carefully. “I don’t know what’s happening between you and Nia, but”
“She is not me,” Zara snapped. “She’s copying me. She’s stealing my life.”
Julian sighed again. “Nia is an asset. She’s been bringing in new clients, making connections”
“She’s been bringing in my clients. You don’t see it.”
Julian leaned back, his expression shifting… less concerned, more skeptical. “Zara,” he said quietly, “have you considered that maybe you’re misinterpreting things?”
There it was. The final betrayal.
Zara stared at him, feeling her world tilt.
“You think I’m crazy.”
Julian didn’t say it. He didn’t have to.
As Zara walked out of his office, she felt it, her world, her identity, slipping through her fingers. And Nia was right there, waiting to take it all.
