Bible Verse:
Psalm 51:10 (NIV)
“Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.”
Prayer:
Lord, I come before You today asking not for more—but for less of me and more of You. Empty me of pride, fear, doubt, and anything that clutters the space meant for You. Cleanse me. Make me a vessel that carries only what You’ve designed for my purpose. I give You full reign over my life. Take over every thought, desire, and decision. Shape me into the person You created me to be. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Reflection:
We often come to God with hands full—carrying our wants, our plans, our worries. But true surrender begins when we ask Him to empty us. When we let go of what we think we need, we create space for what He knows we need. It’s not easy to ask for that kind of cleansing—because it means losing control. But what a beautiful exchange: our clutter for His calling. Today, dare to ask Him boldly: “Empty me, Lord, and fill me with You.” Then trust Him to rebuild you from a clean slate, full of purpose and power.
Notes:
What areas in your life are you still trying to control?
Have you ever asked God to empty you before He fills you?
What might change if you truly gave Him free reign?
