Sundays hold a special place in my week. They are my reset button—the day I take a deep breath, reflect on what has passed, and set my intentions for what’s to come. It’s not just about preparing for Monday; it’s about acknowledging where I’ve been, what I’ve learned, and how I want to move forward.
Looking Back: The Week That Was
Before diving into a new week, I take a moment to pause. I ask myself:
- What worked well? Were there moments of growth, success, or unexpected joy?
- What didn’t? What lessons did I learn, and what could I improve?
- What do I want to carry forward? Some things are worth building on, while others need to be left behind.
This reflection isn’t about perfection—it’s about awareness. Some weeks, I feel accomplished; other weeks, I realize I need to slow down and adjust. Either way, Sunday gives me the space to process it all.
Preparing for the New Week
Once I’ve reflected, I shift my focus to what’s ahead. Sunday is when I:
- Set intentions for the week. What’s my focus? Productivity, self-care, creativity?
- Decide what to subtract—habits, distractions, or mindsets that no longer serve me.
- Plan what to build up—whether it’s my business, my mindset, or personal growth.
This isn’t a rigid structure. Some Sundays, I journal. Other times, I simply sit with my thoughts. But at the heart of it all, Sunday is about realignment—making sure I’m walking in the direction I truly want to go.
Sundays as a Sanctuary
For some, Sundays are for rest. For others, they are for deep planning. I’ve found that, for me, it’s a mix of both. It’s about intentionality—moving forward with clarity rather than rushing into another week on autopilot.
