📖 Bible Passage
Proverbs 4:7 (NIV)
“The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding.”
🕊️ Devotional Reflection
Faith is powerful. Faith moves mountains, opens doors, and strengthens hearts.
But Scripture teaches us that faith alone is not meant to operate in isolation. Faith must walk hand-in-hand with wisdom.
Wisdom is what keeps our faith grounded in God’s truth rather than our own imagination.
Wisdom helps us discern timing, test motives, and separate God’s voice from our own desires.
Faith believes God can.
Wisdom asks God should I?
Faith steps forward.
Wisdom chooses the right direction.
When faith is not guided by wisdom, it drifts into fantasy, expecting outcomes God never promised, forcing doors God kept closed, or assuming His will without seeking His guidance.
But when faith and wisdom work together, we experience peace.
We make decisions with clarity.
We grow in maturity.
We trust God’s timing, not our impulses.
True faith is not blind.
True faith listens, waits, and seeks understanding.
Today, let your faith be bold, but let your wisdom be active.
🙏🏾 Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for giving us the gift of faith. Help us to pair that faith with the wisdom that comes from You alone. Teach us to seek Your guidance before we move, to listen before we act, and to discern Your will above our own desires. Strengthen our understanding so that our faith is rooted in truth, not assumption. Lead us in wisdom, and let every step we take bring honor to Your name.
Amen.
