Insecure People Scare Me, Here’s Why…

I’ve learned something about insecurity, it wears many masks. Sometimes it looks like confidence. Sometimes it sounds like kindness. But underneath, it’s fear, fear of not being enough, fear of being outshined, fear of being unseen.

And honestly? Insecure people scare me.

Not because they’re powerful, but because they’re unpredictable. You never know which version of them you’re going to meet: the one who admires you or the one who resents you.

They compete with people who aren’t even competing.

They try to control what they can’t understand.

And slowly, if you’re not careful, they make you shrink, just to keep the peace.

I’ve come to learn that peace is a boundary, not a reward.

You don’t have to explain, prove, or shrink yourself to make insecure people comfortable. Their insecurity is not your responsibility to heal.

So, when you recognize insecurity in others, don’t try to fight it or fix it.

Step back.

Protect your peace.

And stay rooted in who you are.

Because confident people don’t compete. They connect. ✨
