What Do You Really Want?

Lately, I’ve been thinking about how easy it is to lose yourself in a world that’s constantly showing you who to be. We scroll, we compare, and we quietly start shaping our desires around what looks good on someone else. But somewhere between admiration and imitation, we forget to ask ourselves the simplest question, what do I really want?

Most people don’t actually know what they want. They scroll, they compare, they adapt their desires to match what they see. The internet has turned curiosity into conversion; not of the soul, but of the self.

We look at what others have and think, “Why not me?” But pause for a moment: do you really want what they have, or do you just want to feel the way they look when they have it?

Sometimes you already have more than they do; peace, stability, purpose, but it’s easy to miss it because your eyes are fixed elsewhere. Comparison breeds confusion. You start chasing someone else’s dream, only to lose sight of your own.

So before asking “Why not me?”, ask “What do I really want?” Because fulfillment doesn’t come from imitation, it comes from clarity.

✨ Reflection

The world moves fast, and it’s easy to feel left behind. But your timing, your growth, your path it’s yours for a reason. Take a moment to pause, breathe, and remember that peace comes from alignment, not comparison.
