Scripture:š
āWhen Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, āIt is finished.ā Then bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.ā ā John 19:30 (CSB)
Reflection:š¤
Good Friday reminds us that pain can carry purpose. On the cross, Jesus declared, āIt is finished.ā Not I am finished, but it is.
The assignment was complete. The debt was paid. The silence of Saturday would comeābut Sunday was promised.
Some of us are in our own āFridayā momentsāfeeling pain, betrayal, loss, or uncertainty. But like Jesus, what looks like an ending may simply be the beginning of breakthrough.
God does His greatest work in the dark. So today, pause. Remember. Reflect.
It is finished. But your purpose is not.
Prayer:šš¾
Lord, thank You for the sacrifice of the cross. On this Good Friday, help us carry both the weight and the wonder of what You did. May we rest in the power of those three words: It is finished. Our shame, our sin, our strivingāall laid down. Amen.
