Bible Passage:š
Judges 6:12 (NIV) ā āWhen the angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon, he said, āThe Lord is with you, mighty warrior.āā
Devotion:
When we first meet Gideon, heās not standing tall or leading an army. Heās hidingāthreshing wheat in a winepress to stay out of sight. Yet, thatās exactly where God finds him. Not only does God call him out, but He also calls him āmighty warrior.ā
This moment speaks volumes. God doesnāt define us by our fears or current circumstances. He sees who we are becoming in Him.
Even though Gideon had doubts and asked for signs, God remained patient and faithful. He whittled down Gideonās army to just 300 menānot to weaken him, but to show that the victory belonged to God.
Just like Gideon, we may feel unqualified, unseen, or overwhelmed. But if God is with us, we are more than enough.
šš¾Prayer:šš¾
Heavenly Father, thank You for calling us beyond our fear. Help us to trust Your voice over our own insecurities. Like Gideon, may we rise up with boldness, knowing that Your strength works best in our weakness. In Jesusā name, amen.
